Lady EaglesDrop to 0-4 on the Season

The Rhema Lady Eagles continue to battle each game, but so far the outcome on the scoreboard hasn’t matched the team’s effort. Rhema fell to the Ecclesia College Lady Royals 66-52 Friday night at the Ninowski Recreation Center to drop to 0-4 on the season.

The Lady Eagles couldn’t match the depth of Ecclesia College, as the Lady Royals had nine players who played at least 15 minutes, while Rhema had five players who played more than 30 minutes each. For the game, Ecclesia’s bench outscored Rhema’s bench 22-0. The Lady Eagles were down 21 points early in the second half, but fought back to cut the deficit in half before running out of gas.

Freshman guard Jamie Davis led the Lady Eagles with a season-high 18 points and grabbed four rebounds. Forward Vanessa Zailo recorded her second double-double in as many games, scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Chantel Peterson had season-highs in points (10) and steals (five), while Candace Tripke finished with 10 points and six rebounds.
