Eagles Golf Team Finishes Eleventh at SCU Invitational PDF Print E-mail

Jason Holland GolfingIn their first tournament of the season, the RHEMA Eagles golf team finished tied for 11th at the Southwestern Christian University Invitational in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

 

The Eagles fired a school-record 305 in the first round on the Lake Hefner Golf Club South Course. Jason Holland shot a 4-over-par 74 to pace the Eagles. Tyler Braden contributed a 75, while Chris Gentry carded a 76. Kenny Still rounded out the team score with an 80, while Jon Rogers posted an 85.

On day two, RHEMA posted a 322 on the North Course. Braden shot a 6-over 78, Holland and Still each posted a 9-over 81, Rogers an 82, and Gentry an 85. For the tournament, Braden finished tied for 36th with an 11-over-par 153. Holland tied for 47th with a 13-over 155. Still and Gentry each tied for 55th with a 19-over 161, while Rogers finished tied for 65th with a 25-over 167.

Jeff BardelJeff Bardel moved from North Carolina to attend RHEMA Bible Training Center in 2002. While he was a student, he competed for the RHEMA Eagles on the links and also served as the team captain.
