Eagles Place Ninth at Central Christian Invitational |

The RHEMA Eagles golf team finished ninth out of 15 teams at the Central Christian College Spring Invitational in McPherson, Kansas.
Playing the par-70 Turkey Creek Golf Course in 30-mile-per-hour winds, the Eagles shot an opening round 327, paced by sophomore Tyler Braden, who shot an opening round 78. Sophomore Jason Holland posted an 82, freshman Don Sullivan an 83, and sophomore Kenny Still shot an 84 toward the team score. Chris Gentry carded a 95 and medalist Jon Rogers shot a 97.
Day two was played in blustery conditions as well, but the Eagles improved their team score by four, shooting a 323. Sullivan fired a 7-over-par 77 to pace RHEMA. Braden shot 79, Still an 83, and Holland an 84 toward the team score. Gentry shot a 92 and Rogers a 96.
With a two-day total of 157, Braden finished tied for 26th out of 81. Sullivan finished tied for 32nd with a total of 160. Holland’s two-day score of 166 landed him tied for 48th with Still’s 167 leaving him tied for 50th. Gentry and Rogers finished 74th and 75th.
