The Rhema Lady Eagles scored the most points they have all season in a dominating 101-58 win over the Crowley’s Ridge Lady Pioneers Saturday in Paragould, Arkansas. After losing their first five games, the Lady Eagles improved their record to 6-10 with the win. Rhema shot the ball well from the field, connecting on 46 percent (42-for-91) of their shots, including 40 percent (4-for-10) from three-point range. Defensively, the Lady Eagles held Crowley’s Ridge to 28 percent shooting (16-for-58) from the floor and 11 percent (2-for-18) from beyond the arc.Rhema was led by freshman guard Jamie Davis who topped all scorers with 23 points on 53 percent shooting (9-for-17). Sophomore forward Candace Tripke finished with 21 points and four rebounds, while freshman forward Vanessa Zailo notched her ninth double-double of the season with 14 points and 17 rebounds. She also had a season-high seven blocks. Senior guard Jessica Davis scored a season-high 12 points and grabbed five rebounds. Kori Jo Jones finished with 10 points and four rebounds, while Jennifer Kulukulualani and Chantel Peterson added eight apiece. Keirstyn Spangler finished with five points, and a career-high seven assists. The Lady Eagles return to action Tuesday, January 10, when they play host to Ozark Christian College Game time is 5:30 p.m.
